“May you be well. May I offer you caring when you are in pain”. Kian Tiah values loving kindness and compassion in his practices. He has been involving in mental health works for 10 years in various settings includes hospital, psychiatry clinic, school and NGOs. Being brought up in an adverse childhood environment, he is striving to heal himself and at the same time helping those who are suffering from emotional pain. This has inspired him to further his study in relevant field and be involved in the helping profession. He integrated person-centered approach as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into his practice. His therapy work involves treating clients compassionately to understand emotions, thoughts and behaviors that are related to their current struggles in an experiential way. At the same time, clients are able to learn new skills to accept struggles and live the kind of life they want.
